Any Gopher fans should put your vote in once a day for Ryan Potulny to win the Hobey Baker Award. He is leading the WCHA and nation in goals and doing a fine fine job as of late with (7-1--8) in his last four games. Also of note, Minnesota is first in the PWR at USCHO.com as well as first in all three national polls for the fourth straight week. Milwaukee get ready!

Well, I've seen the lads from NOFX go out for margaritas, but for them to write a song about drinking in Minneapolis that will be on their next cd? Preposterous? I think not! The latest free MP3 from fatwreck.com is entitled, "Seeing Double at the Triple Rock." Good stuff. Hopefully now the Triple Rock doesn't become infested with dorks. Banana assault nets arrest
Police arrested an 18-year-old Fergus Falls man at the Lakeview Estates Trailer Park after he allegedly hit a woman with a banana. Police responded to the home Tuesday night on a report of a fight. A woman said that the man tried to take a swing at her and missed, and she responded by slapping him in the face. That's when the woman said the man grabbed a banana and clubbed her with it, police said. Police said there was banana debris at the scene to corroborate the assault. The woman was cited for disorderly conduct; the man was taken into custody for fifth degree assault.

Well, the Golden Gopher have finally climbed to the top of all three national rankings: Inside College Hockey, USCHO and USA Today. Not to get haughty, but I will definitely be looking for people to watch the playoffs somewhere on campus - don't make any plans!

And I Feel Fine! I tell ya, with Bush's crappy speech, all the fuss about the Mohammed cartoons in Denmark and the EU, the shitload of drivel I have to grade over the weekend, the Chuck-haters in Network lately, some poor girl who died in the Bunge, the stunning revelation that most myspace users are delinquent children and the fact that I have been sick for the better part of the last week make me want to dip my head in alcohol this evening. I guess I can take solace in the fact that my mighty Gophers SWEPT WISCONSIN last weekend. That always feels better. Ahhhhhhh.
